Deal Alert: The Kia EV6 is One of the Best Lease Deals Available Now

Kia has been aggressive in moving its electric cars, and is currently offering very attractive discounts on its EV6 model. You can expect to pay as low as $250/month for a car with a MSRP over $50k - a phenomenal deal in this market.

Background on the Kia EV6

The Kia EV6 came out in 2021 and was immediately loved by car critics. The car won European Car of the Year in 2022 and a Motorweek Drivers Choice award in 2023. The base model is know as “Light” and comes with rear wheel drive and around 232 miles of range. The top of the line GT has all wheel drive and can go 0-60mph in 2.5 seconds, but at the expense of some range with only 218 miles estimated. The GT Line AWD model has the most range at 310 miles.

What is the pricing on Kia EV6 models?

AS with any car, the different trims offer multiple price entry points. The base model starts at $42,000 and the GT AWD starts at $61,000. There are a total of 8 trim levels that sit in between those models and give buyers a lot of choice. With all the models, there is a lot of choice. A quick look at a car listing site shows over 4,000 cars listed on dealer lots. Used car values however have fallen dramatically on these cars, similar to many other electrics. Some models are going for under $25,000 used with under 10,000 miles. This is over a 50% drop in value in just 3 years.

What is the current lease deal on a Kia EV6?

Kia is looking to move these cars aggressively and is offering $7,500 in bonus cash to anyone looking to buy or lease the car. This car is not eligible for the federal tax credit, but Kia is matching that amount through its financing. In addition to the $7,500, many buyers are able to negotiate up to $5,000 off MSRP at the dealership. Kia is also still showing a strong residual value on its lease terms, and all this leads to some amazing deals. On its site, Kia is offering leases as low as $249/month with $4,000 due at signing for the RWD long range model. With some additional negotiations, many users are able to get deals, essentially wiping out the due at signing fees.

How long will this deal be available for?

Right now most of the lease cash deals on Kia’s website state that you have to take delivery of an in stock vehicle by April 30th. While the deal might expire then, it is not unlikely that something very similar will take its place. Car manufacturers are struggling to move EVs and price cuts are happening across the industry. Expect to see very competitive lease deals on EVs across the board
